Minor and Double Major Application Procedure

Double Major Application Steps
Students who want to pursue a double major are required to fill in the double major application form. The application form has to be submitted within two weeks after the beginning of the first semester. During the first semester the Division of Curriculum will announce the date for applications.
 
Application Steps
1.       Go to the Division of Curriculum and pick up the application form. Fill in the form.
2.       The application then needs to be submitted to the department of your original major.
3.       The application will then be submitted to the Dean and Administrative Director of the college of Business Administration for final approval. Once approved you can start to study your double major.
 
Minor Application Procedure
Students of all the university’s departments can apply to study a minor during the second semester of their freshmen year. Every year applications can be made between late May and early June. Application dates will be announced by the Division of Curriculum.
 
Minor Application Steps
1.       Go to the Division of curriculum and pick up an application form. Fill in the form.
2.       The application then needs to be submitted to the department where you are studying your major.
3.       The application will then be submitted to the Dean and Administrative Director of the college of Business Administration for final approval. Once approved, you can begin to take the courses for your minor in the following semester.
 
Course Regulations
1.       For students from other departments of the College of Business Administration as well as the Department of Economics and the Department of Industrious Engineering whose courses taken at their original departments are the same as the required courses for the minor, they should take the minor department's required courses or elective courses to make up the 21 required credits for the minor.   

      Students who are taking Business Administration as their minor are required to complete a total of seven courses (21 credits). The study schedule for these courses is divided between the first and second semester of each academic year. The required courses are:    
1.     Management science (3-0 credits)
2.     Marketing Management (3-0 credits)
3.     Financial Management (3-0 credits)
4.     Operation Management (0-3 credits)
5.     Human Resource Management (0-3 credits)
6.     Information Management (3-0 credits)
7.     Business Policy (0-3 credits)
Course Prerequisites
1.    The prerequisite course for Financial Management is Accounting (with a grade of 50 or above).
2.    The prerequisite course for Operation Management is Management Science (with a grade of 50 or above).
3.    The prerequisite course for Human Resource Management is Management Science (with a grade of 50 or above).
4.    The prerequisite course for Information Management is Information Education (with a grade of 50 or above).
5.    Business Policy should be taken in the final semester in the Minor Department (i.e., the last minor course for Business Administration).
Courses offered by the minor department are preferred to those by other departments. If students who are to be graduated at the current academic year have encountered any course conflict related to the required courses of their original major, they can take the same courses offered by the Department of Business Administration (each case is handled individually).

For students taking courses offered by the minor department, they should pay for the required credits at the Cashier Division.
 
  1.    Obtain the triplicate form for tuition payment from the Course Curriculum Division or our department and have the triplicate stamped by our department.
  2.     After confirming course addition or withdrawal, the student has to pay for the credits at the Cashier Division.
  3.     Courses have to be withdrawn if the credits are not paid.
 
The suggested course taking sequence  
1.     Management Science / Marketing Management / Operation Management
2.     Financial Management / Human Resource Management
3.     Information Management / Business  Policy
